Do I need a fishing license?
Yes. A valid Alabama fishing license is required and is not included in the trip price. You can purchase one online from Outdoor Alabama before your trip.
What's included?
Everything but your license — a fully equipped Phoenix bass boat, quality rods, reels and tackle, and proven local techniques. Just show up ready to fish.
What should I bring?
Weather-appropriate clothing and rain gear, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and food/drinks (no alcohol per USCG rules). Please leave personal tackle boxes at home.
How do deposits and payments work?
A $100 deposit reserves your date (paid online via PayPal). The balance is due on the fishing day. Deposits are non-refundable but transferable within the same calendar year.
Can beginners and kids come?
Absolutely. Trips are family-friendly and suited to all skill levels — from first-timers to tournament anglers.
How many people can come?
Trips are for 1–2 people with Captain Shane. A 3rd person is +$149 and a follow boat is +$200, due on the fishing day.
What lakes do you guide on?
Lake Guntersville (primary), plus Weiss Lake, Neely Henry Lake, and Logan Martin Lake. We serve Guntersville, Arab, Boaz, Huntsville, and surrounding North Alabama.
What happens in bad weather?
Safety comes first. If conditions are unsafe, Captain Shane will work with you to reschedule your trip.
